Hi there, I'm Cjad the Nord, the recruitment officer of The Silly Nannies [GROG]. No doubt you've heard of us.

No?

Well then, lemme give you an introduction. "The Silly Nannies", above all, like Guild Wars. I mean, like like it. And we really like other people who like Guild Wars. So some of our top scientists did the math using complex algorithms and a state-of-the-art vacuum tube computer, and found out that we should probably look into recruiting other people who like Guild Wars. So that's why I'm here today.

Above all, we're pretty casual and laid back. Losing is okay in our book, so long as everyone had fun. We don't subscribe to the belief that Guild Wars is serious business, and we find people with bad sportsmanship (and are otherwise really lame) to be major buzz kills.

Though we have a focus on PvE, some of us are pretty active in PvP, and we're looking for people who are interested in breaking into the GvG circuit as well. We probably won't become a top ranked Guild, but that isn't really important, because GvG is fun as hell (you could say we like like it). Just remember that we probably won't be GvGing daily, though conversely we aren't just going to go into it willy nilly waving our underwear on sticks (tried that once, didn't have the intended effect).

So you may find yourself asking right now, "What can [GROG] do for me?"

I'm glad you asked. Membership in the guild gets you a snazzy laminated ID card, that looks real official and whatnot. You also get access to the backroom where you'll find a fully stocked bar, among... other... entertainments. But best of all, you'll be a member of one of the most amorous... friendliest... friendliest guilds around that isn't wound up on being OMG Suber Leet. Our standards in terms of game experience are very low, but in order to wear the Beer Cape like the rest of us, we ask of you some things:

The guild is as much about giving as it is about receiving. We don't like leeches
We do hold some standards when it comes to personality. We're only looking for cool, mature(ish) players who can take a joke and give one back in return
We aren't a piggy bank. We don't care if you aren't the wealthiest player in the world, but don't make a habit of constantly asking for money/such
Are you a bad enough dude to save the President?!

Addendum, Long Term Goals: We will be re-forming our guild in Guild Wars 2 as Planet Funk [GROG]. Most of us will be entering the open beta events/weekends when/if Anet holds them. Until then, we're all very much into furnishing our individual Hall of Monuments by doing Hardmode and other things, such as clearing FoW/UW and other such title chasing activities.
